Okay so this is my first conference. A bit scared but looking forward to it. Myself and Branch have already been through all the motions and amendments for the WET and NDC. The WET group is for the Water, Environment, and Transport companies/organisations. This group is specific to our industry. We are not in the public service sector, therefore as UNISON is a public service union, we are 'officially' recognised under the WET group.
I'm a novice at this so apologies to Branch if I have stated anything that is not correct.
It is also important to point out that any opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of the Branch and the Branch cannot be held accountable for any mistakes or blatant slander (lol), although my aim is to express solely the views of the Branch.
WET conference starts on Sunday. I will try and blog again before the Sunday, probably Saturday evening once we arrive in Bournemouth...
